Unfortunately, they will always make money from people like you unless you change your viewpoint. An attitude that has always served me well is that I cannot afford to accept anything that is free or easy money. Sometimes a telemarketer will call me asking me if I want something for free. I always tell them that I cannot afford any more free stuff. Sometimes they even laugh since they understand exactly what I really mean.
