Sorry for not replying sooner. Ok you have some good questions.

For free website you could do a search on free website teplates and you’ll see some amazing ones that you could just edit the content.

Free Hosting – There are websites that offer free hosting services. http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-domain-hosting.php is a site to go to find the best free webhosting sites. They provide rating and reviews of every free web hosting company out there.

As for registering a domain name, it only cost between $6-8 a year if you register with godaddy.com or 1and1.com. So its a good idea to get your own domain name.

Once you have a domain name you could go to the free domain hosting of your choice and register and upload your site.

As for you’re last question, if you go ahead and save the html file you created as index.html and upload it to your domain via ftp then you’ll see the results.

One suggestion is if you use the profit lance program you could download one of his website templates and follow his video tutorial on how to edit the html content using you notepad and browser and see the results right away.

If you dont want to go through profit lance (you dont need to get the program just to edit a website template) then download a template from an open source site like http://www.oswd.org and edit the html and upload it to your root folder.

Hello Ari,
I have’nt opened a site or a blog. If I were to attempt to open a free web site [write the HTML myself ] or being it’s my first attempt use a less safisticated approach whereby limiting HTML access. Using free hosting, where would be a good place to get a domain and are their free domains out there? When using freeware, how does that affect website, domain and hosting relationships.
As you can tell I am a complete novice, but I am determined to learn.
One more question, If I practice HTML on wordpad or notepad and create something I like, Is it possible to transfer all that data to the web without rewriting the entire text? If so HOW? Or would you suggest just jumping in head first, just get out there and do it? Expect to make mistakes for a while and not sweat it.

Hey thanks Yong. I really appreciate the compliment. I am happy you enjoy the blog. Unfortunately I dont have the time to keep it up. But I do plan to add a post some time in the future once I have tested more products and strategies.

I guess its cause people are so desperate to make money that they get really excited when they see all those fancy cars and houses.

I think people fall for it all the time. Thats why they keep showing these pictures.

Hi Ari,
I was wondering why do all these websites have a tacky cookie-cutter image? What’s up with the pictures of those Crayola colored cars or the “Soprano” style houses that decorate their main pages? Do you think these images really do triger the buy-it-now impulse on people’s brains?

Hi Neo, Sorry I didnt realize you posted a comment. I was away for a few days.

The answer to your question is that I havent really found anything yet. I havent been making any money for awhile now and my wife is getting a bit frustrated. As a result I decided to try new online ventures to see what works. I havent really launched anything yet so I dont know what will work.

There are several websites that talk about the best way to monetize a site. Take a look at this post from johnchow.com. He really covers all the different options for a blog.
